Currently working on her online gift store, an upcoming motivational talk, a second self-help book, and her thriving acting career, Leandie still finds the time for 20 minutes of EMS training, week after week, and says that she loves BODYTEC because it’s fast, effective, and never boring.
On chatting to her about how her career in entertainment began, she recalled singing, acting and dancing at a very young age and that her confidence behind the camera came from her mother, who filmed her performances most of the time.
She’d never expected to find herself so immersed in her work all of the time and loving every minute of it.
Leandie studied Industrial Psychology at university because she had a keen interest in understanding what motivates people and how our minds work. In her first year of studies at The University of Johannesburg, she entered a residential beauty pageant and won the title of Miss Personality, along with Brumilda van Rensburg’s drama course, which she then completed in conjunction with her Bcom degree.
“Brumilda helped me get into the industry [and] it’s hard not to work all the time because I love what I do so much. I love working with people and bringing joy and inspiration to their lives. I like the hustle and variation that entertainment and entrepreneurship bring, and how it forces me to be creative and independent. No two days are the same. Life is a true adventure, whether I am shooting a film, busy with To Be Gift Boxes - my online store, or travelling for work.”
Leandie credits her work-hard-play-hard approach to life as her key to staying motivated, even after already having accomplished so much. She also focuses on what she has to be grateful for and eats well 80% of the time. “The mind speaks to the body, so I try to keep my mind positive so that my body follows.” She was introduced to BODYTEC in 2017 and maintains that her initial goals to tone her body and reduce the time spent working out, have been far exceeded. “My muscles are more toned. I’ve seen faster results than with the HIIT exercises I used to do, three times a week and because BODYTEC EMS training is so easy to maintain, it’s easy to stay motivated.

Because there is no strain on your joints as you don’t use any weights during your workout, EMS is used by physiotherapists to rehabilitate and maintain and improve fitness levels while you heal. It’s an ideal solution for those with joint problems or back pain.
BODYTEC uses Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to achieve stronger, more intense muscle contractions than a voluntary exertion can achieve alone.
Your personal trainer can control each muscle group by adjusting the training intensity of the various muscle groups on the EMS device according to your individual goals.
During EMS training, 90% of muscles are activated simultaneously with each contraction.
