Training a minimum of two times a day and fitting in work consists of a lot of planning. I was then introduced to EMS training by my mother and was intrigued by the fact that you can get a full-body workout in just 20mins a week while also improving my strength and stability as an athlete.
I joined BODYTEC Stellenbosch and was surprised by the intense full-body workout in just 20 minutes! It’s a big pro with time management being a daily challenge. Not only did BODYTEC contribute to my overall strength, but it is continuously extended my pain threshold as an endurance athlete.
Within my first year of consistent weekly EMS training, I qualified for the Ironman National Championships, as well as the 70.3 World Championships, and received Top 50 placement among over 2000 triathletes. Using EMS training as an inclusion to my athletic abilities has helped me reach greater results in a short period of time and I am able to spend more time with family and friends.

Because there is no strain on your joints as you don’t use any weights during your workout, EMS is used by physiotherapists to rehabilitate and maintain and improve fitness levels while you heal. It’s an ideal solution for those with joint problems or back pain.
BODYTEC uses Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to achieve stronger, more intense muscle contractions than a voluntary exertion can achieve alone.
Your personal trainer can control each muscle group by adjusting the training intensity of the various muscle groups on the EMS device according to your individual goals.
During EMS training, 90% of muscles are activated simultaneously with each contraction.
